It’s Like This
The news is I will be spending less time devoted to Pixels of Fury, not quite a hiatus, but a reduction in posts here. I have started a photo project dedicated to my interest in contemporary landscape photography (a loose definition is photos of the man-made world and landscapes altered by man). Instead of trying to shoehorn that idea into this blog, I am moving to a new platform to focus on a single theme. The new site is called Banal Canal and will feature my contemporary landscape work exclusively. I hope you will pop by occasionally to check it out. I still plan to do a few things here, namely some experimental work and some graphics. Thanks for your past support and the shot below is a taste. Onward!

After trying to stuff plastic bags filled with refuse in the tiny openings on top (for years mind you) I finally figured out that you can lift the ‘lid’ off these things and stuff anything you want down there. Of course, I don a plastic disposable glove before touching said receptacle least I come in contact with residue from a cat carcass (or worse).
P.S. My decorating instincts dictate that the wall be a neutral color completely separate from the white baseboards. That way, the baseboards will ‘pop.’ We spent a week in L.A. recently and I lamented all the beautiful old facades (and there were many) that could enjoy a second life if only their owners would spring for some tasteful awnings and fresh beautifully colored paint. Such is the state of America and declining aesthetics.
I think you would me at home in the CDC. BTW, this shot is from the Strip in Vegas (the Monte Carlo I think) so it’s dedicated to you personally.
Next time you are in Vegas, let me know!
Not only would I thrive at the CDC but I would have made a hell of a crime scene investigator (I would make sure no one OJ’d their way out of conviction based on shoddy practices).
you are quite the blog gypsy! but the fact that we keep
stalkingfollowing you should tell you something! break a leg with the new project! see you there…Guilty as charged, but thanks Daisy.
Congrats on your new locale, Bob! I see I’ll be needing to update my blogroll. Again. [Overdramatic sigh.]
Thanks, sorry!!
DUDE!
I wouldn’t miss it!
(Love the elegance of the above, BTW)!
Cool, thanks.
